Cassy & The Bossa Beats

Cassy and The Bossa Beats have been playing around Sydney since October 1989 .Originally the band’s repertoire was made up of Brazilian jazz music, with it’s unique dance feels such as the samba and the bossa nova. The range of music that the band now performs has however expanded greatly to include music from Cuba, North American jazz, Blues and Funk, and original music.

The band’s singer Cassy Darvall performs the songs in the language of their country origin; ie. Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French and English. The band consists of Piano, Bass, Drums, Saxophone and Vocals. The repertoire of Cassy and The Bossa Beats include music from Jazz and Blues, Latin, Contemporary.

Philippe is a world class musician/entertainer who always gets everyone involved singing, cheering, dancing and laughing. Born an Austrian singer and musician he went on to become a true chameleon, performing French, Italian, German, English, Australian, South American and other musical styles just to list a few. He performs in many varying ensembles depending on the client’s event and always provides the highest standard of continental music.

Explore the builders, owners and residents of Queen Street that has been a commercial and residential hub for the last 160 years. A twenty minute tour beginning at Nelson Street on the north side of Queen Street and returning on the south.
